Membership
Expert Membership
An Expert Member of the ICIP will be accepted on the basis of their individual profile, particularly knowledge of / associations with interpretation of cultural heritage sites with particular interest on the implications of climate change on the interpretation and engagement with communities in relation to cultural heritage. An Expert Member must be a member of ICOMOS and is expected to contribute to the activities and objectives of the ICIP.
Associate Membership
An Associate Member of the ICIP will be interested in gaining knowledge and building up expertise in areas relevant to the objectives of the ICIP and also must be a member of ICOMOS. An Associate member is expected to contribute to the activities and objectives of the ICIP.
Emerging Professionals
Emerging Professionals, individual members of ICOMOS who are students or in the early stage of their careers, are encouraged to apply for ICIP.
General Membership
General members are people interested in ICIP and its activities. Their contacts can be published, on request, on the ICIP website.
Interpretation is a multi-dimensional field, in which anyone can practice. There are currently no heritage-based qualifications for interpretation. For this reason, ICIP welcomes all interested members from ICOMOS and the broader heritage community.
